1928 Beacon Hill is a standout American restaurant tucked into Boston’s historic Beacon Hill neighborhood, offering a cozy yet refined dining experience with a menu rooted in modern New England classics. The space is rich with antique decor and layered design, from intimate leather‑lined booths to hidden rooms filled with vintage touches that give the restaurant a speakeasy‑like charm. Service here is generally warm and attentive. We did have a couple of problems due to tables not being turned over quick enough, which resulted in us almost not being able to order food due to the kitchen closing soon, however the staff was able to resolve this issue quite quickly and professionally. Although the bar area can get loud, especially on weekends, service still moves steadily and staff greet you with genuine hospitality. The food here tends to impress. Signature dishes include the steak frites, crab cakes, and fried cauliflower with shishito peppers, all of which showcase thoughtful execution and balanced flavors. We tried a variety of these dishes, all of which had a nice flavor and taste, especially the steaks and pasta. Portions are moderate and prices reflect the restaurant’s upscale yet comfortable approach, and the atmosphere feels perfect for a relaxed dinner, a special date night, or a memorable celebration.

Overall a great experience by spare no expense! It's definitely a great date night and celebration spot. My husband booked the reservation and told them it was our anniversary and they brought over complimentary champagne for us. It was one of those things where we knew we were going to have a great experience! The tuna crispy rice was phenomenal and I salivate just thinking about the black garlic emulsion that was on the plate. I thought my short rib and parsnip dish was one of the stars of the night and truly enjoyed each bite! My husband enjoyed his scallops although he wished there was just a little bit more risotto and no grapes. We ended the night with the sticky toffee pudding and man we could've eaten like five of these it was so good! Definitely check them and their new location out if you're looking for a good meal in Boston!

I had a wonderful experience at 1928 Beacon Hill. The place is elegant with beautiful vintage vibes that make the atmosphere feel cozy and special. The cocktails were amazing, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service made everything even better. Our waiter was so kind and attentive, which made us feel very welcomed. Definitely a perfect spot for a nice dinner or drinks in Boston.!
